Job description

A NASDAQ-listed company developing one of the largest e-commerce marketplaces in the world is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Back-End-Heavy Developer. The developer will be responsible for improving the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s large software system. By offering a personalized and enjoyable experience, the company is redefining how customers purchase and how businesses sell a vast variety of affordable products. The company has managed to raise more than $1.2bn during their Series H round of funding.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the project's requirements during the V1 launch and subsequent V2 iteration
  • Create sophisticated software that integrates with numerous external systems
  • Optimize for immediate action while making technical capacity plans for the long-term future
  • Integrate and maintain APIs for a variety of external services
  • Create distributed, highly available systems
  • Mentor and guide the junior developers on the team

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a backend developer
  • 4+ years of experience working with Python
  • At least 3+ years of experience with Go/Golang, AWS, Hadoop, and MongoDB
  • 2+ years of experience working with GraphQL
  • Nice to have some experience with React, Typescript, and Java
  • Excellent English communication skills
