Job description

A U.S.-based company that is developing AI safety and research solutions, with a focus on improving the security of large-scale AI systems, is looking for a Senior Data Scientist/Analyst. The selected candidate will be responsible for carrying out peer code evaluations and providing constructive feedback. Utilizing the power of contemporary Artificial Intelligence technology, the organization is shaping a better future for the next generation in order to guarantee that the revolutionary potential of AI benefits all of humanity. Thus far, the company has raised about $2.7 billion in capital. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Effectively solve challenging problems with Python code, but also apply business acumen and analytical skills to extract insightful information from public databases
  • Keep lines of communication open with researchers and assist the organization in achieving its goals
  • When developing code in Jupyter notebooks, make sure to clearly state the reasoning and logic.
  • Resolve code issues and produce comprehensive documentation 
  • Apply your knowledge of data analysis to create and address significant business inquiries utilizing the datasets that are readily available (e.g., Kaggle, the UN, the US government, etc.)
  • Engage in productive dialogue with the researchers to understand their needs and deliver the findings

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience) 
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a data scientist 
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis and a strong ambition to make a big difference in the artificial intelligence space 
  • 2+ years of Python programming experience 
  • Extensive background in data science and analysis 
  • Nice to have some experience with SQL and associated technologies
  • Superior communication skills to effectively collaborate with researchers and stakeholders 
  • Strong data analytic skills and commercial acumen to extract the relevant conclusions from the information, address those conclusions, and effectively communicate the most important findings
  • Exceptional intellectual and problem-solving abilities 
  • Ability to communicate well in writing and spoken English
