A rapidly-growing company determined to become the leading name in the sports and digital entertainment industry is looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be working closely with Product Managers to design, build, deliver and run the gaming platforms and products. To provide sports fans with a better, more rewarding, and engaging experience, the hyper-growth startup integrates technology, customer data, and talent. Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze the data and insight from multiple sources and draw informed conclusions 
  • Thrive under pressure and tackle complex challenges
  • Understand modern architectural and engineering practices that underpin highly successful distributed transactional solutions
  • Keep pace with the market by staying on top of trends and applying that to get the best of systems and the team
  • Build an excellent team and help guide junior members
  • Ensure that the gaming products are highly resilient, extremely low latency, and scalable to a massive volume

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
  • 5+ years of experience in production software engineering and delivery 
  • 3+ years working on distributed, high-volume transactional systems
  • 2 years working with messaging technologies like Kafka and with cloud-based implementations like Azure
  • Prolific experience with C#, SQL Server, REST, and Git
  • Extensive knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL
  • Nice to have some knowledge of .NETCore
  • Experience working with containerization technologies would be desirable
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic setting and quickly learn new skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Prior experience working with remote teams 
  • Experience working in a hyper-growth startup is desirable
