Job description

A US-based cloud-built platform that leverages the power of machine learning and AI to help users attain a personalized and seamless experience is looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for implementing advanced security and data protection practices. The company is reimagining the automotive retail industry to bring value to its ecosystem for today’s modern dealership. They have managed to raise more than $400mn in funding during their Series D round. This will be a full-time, long-term position that requires 8+ hours overlap with the IST time zone. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create solutions for complex business procedures by designing and building them
  • Recognize the user persona and provide a smooth experience
  • Take ownership of components from start to finish and be accountable for the subsystems you work on, including design, coding, testing, integration, deployment, and upgrades
  • Write high-quality code and take responsibility for tasks
  • Find and fix performance issues
  • Mentor junior engineers
  • Work with the management, product, QA, and UI/UX teams to communicate and coordinate tasks
  • Deliver high-quality, on-time results in a fast-paced start-up environment

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of experience working as a back-end developer
  • Prolific experience working with Java, Microservices, and Object-oriented programming
  • Technical troubleshooting and diagnosis, as well as strong problem-solving abilities
  • Strong sense of code quality and ability to enforce it within the team 
  • Prolific experience working with RDBMS and NoSQL technologies
  • Back-end development experience for corporate systems such as eCommerce, manufacturing, and supply chain management
  • Excellent knowledge of performance debugging and optimization approaches
  • Java, MongoDB, MySQL, AWS technologies, ELK stack, Spring Boot, and Kafka experience
  • Experience with large-scale application development and cloud technologies
  • Demonstrable ability to deliver in a fast-paced setting
