Job description

A NASDAQ-listed company that develops and manufactures category-defining electric vehicles and accessories is looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer. The engineer will lead a growing engineering team and provide structure to the platform while supporting the latest engineering practices. With their electric vehicles, the company is attempting to halt the carbonization of the atmosphere and conserve natural ecosystems by providing an alternative to fuel-based transportation. The company has managed to securely raise more than $10bn in funding so far. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the overall application development lifecycle
  • Work alongside front-end developers, testers, QA leads, and project managers to deliver robust applications
  • Take charge of defining and communicating technical and design requirements
  • Develop solutions using high-quality, testable, effective, and reusable code
  • Build sustainable and functional web applications using clean and efficient codes
  • Test UIs and optimize applications to enhance performance
  • Deploy the best security and data protection practices
  • Devise and integrate effective data storage solutions
  • Offer technical leadership and mentor junior developers across all development stages

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Experience in working with languages like Python
  • Thorough knowledge of utilizing cloud solutions like AWS
  • Familiarity with Lambda integrations 
  • Prior experience working with JBOSS will be an added advantage 
  • Knowledge of AWS services like Dynamo, S3, ElasticSearch, and Appsync will be beneficial
  • A thorough understanding of DynamoDB data modeling is preferred
  • Knowledge of working with Appsync and Cloudformation will be beneficial
  • Familiarity with API gateway development is highly desirable
