Job description

A  fast-growing US-based company that has developed a system to help security cameras and video management systems to provide smart solutions, is looking for a Senior Back-end Engineer. The developer will be working extensively on distributed systems while working with a cross-functional team of talented professionals. The firm’s cutting-edge AI technology is shattering the previous limitations placed on video analysis systems by using machine learning algorithms. The company has managed to raise more than $4mn in funding during its Seed round. This is a full-time role and requires at least 5 hours overlap with the UTC time zones.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Integrate with server-side logic and functionalities 
  • Work with a wide range of systems and technologies and solve problems from end-to-end 
  • Use a holistic, test-oriented approach to troubleshoot, debug and upgrade applications
  • Optimize the platform for faster execution and solve scalability issues
  • Implement security & data protection practices

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • 5+ years of experience working with Python
  • Well-versed with Linux and related technologies
  • Extensive experience with distributed systems (Docker container, Compose, etc)
  • Prior working experience with either Kafka or RabbitMQ
  • Experience working in a cloud environment (AWS or Azure)
  • Must possess some prior on-prem experience
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Great communication and collaboration skills
