Job description

An NYSE-listed company that is redefining the fintech industry with cutting-edge financial solutions that turn fresh ideas into quality products aimed at the most expansive customer base, is looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of integrating into an existing team and working to modernize an existing Payments platform during a period of rapid growth. The company is fostering the growth of businesses and communities by improving how people pay, bank, and invest. So far, the company has managed to successfully secure more than $2.2bn in funding. This will be a full-time, long-term position requiring some overlap with the EST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Write clean, well-documented code that complies with good coding principles
  • To provide predictable results quickly, work collaboratively with product managers, designers, and other business stakeholders
  • Take care of conflicting priorities and plan the best course of action for yourself and your team while removing roadblocks
  • Identify performance issues and bug fixes

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Demonstrable experience working with AWS, TypeScript, and JavaScript
  • Solid understanding of Serverless technologies
  • Nice to have some prior experience with PHP, Git, Agile, GitLab, Linux, Jenkins, Unix/Linux
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and DevOps is desirable
  • Some knowledge of Domain Driven Design (DDD) and Microservice Architecture is nice to have
  • Prior Payments/FinTech industry experience is preferred
  • Excellent conversational and written English communication skills
