Python/REST API (Flask) Developer

A U.S.-based company that is developing cutting-edge, mobile-first solutions to enhance the experience of facility users and occupants, is looking for a Python/REST API (Flask) Developer. The developer will be responsible for finding bottlenecks, troubleshooting complicated problems, and suggesting workable solutions. The company's platform enables building managers, owners, and tenants to communicate about maintenance and comfort issues. The company has managed to secure more than $7.5mn in funding so far.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure careful documentation of features and code
• Contribute to the creation of a REST API and the callers and receivers of APIs
• Scale the applications to the needs of the clients while creating rock-solid code and the tests to verify it
• Take charge of how the team interacts with the proptech ecosystem by providing superior, data-driven solutions for enterprise customers

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
• 5+ years of web experience using Python and its asynchronous processing
• 3+ years of experience working with Flask, REST API, and Docker
• In-depth knowledge of PyTest and Test Driven Development (TDD) and understand its importance
• Extensive experience working with Python Unit Testing
• Familiarity with Cloud Providers like AWS (S3 and SQS)
• Proficient about best practices for software development while producing well-designed, legible, and highly testable code
• Ability to comprehend API scaling, including how it will communicate with various data stores
• Demonstrable knowledge of relational and NoSQL data stores
• Receptive to learning new things, including developing new platforms, APIs, databases, etc
• Fluent in spoken and written English communication
