Job description

A rapidly-growing company that is developing a B2B payments network designed to enhance cash flow and maximize working capital for the construction industry, is looking for a Python/Java Software Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, maintainability, and conformance of the team to accepted development standards, and conduct code reviews. The company seeks to eradicate late payments and speed up the flow of cash in the economy. This is a great opportunity for engineers who are eager to contribute to building world-class solutions that will have a positive impact on society. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that high-quality Python and Java applications are designed, developed, tested, deployed, and maintained
  • Take ownership of creating secure and effective REST APIs
  • Work with the product development team to specify new features and products
  • Look into and fix issues or defects as necessary

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA/ MS Degree (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Extensive experience working with Python and Java
  • Demonstrable experience developing the latest enterprise applications
  • Prior experience shipping and scaling applications on either AWS or similar platforms
  • Some prior experience working in either payments or financial technologies is desirable
  • Nice to have some familiarity with React, Docker, Kubernetes, and the CI/CD pipeline 
  • Some knowledge of front-end technologies and a talent for user interface design is preferred
  • Fluent in English communication, both conversational and written
