Job description

A US-based company creating the world’s most advanced autonomous store platform with AI-powered computer vision technology is looking for a Python Developer. The developer will be working alongside some of the world’s most experienced engineers to develop state-of-art technologies that change how machines perceive, communicate, and interact with the world. The company has partnered with leading retailers worldwide to create customized autonomous shopping experiences with flexible integration and entry options. The chosen developer will join the team and have a meaningful role in the next evolution of the consumer shopping experience.

Job Responsibilities:

Utilize software engineering skills for designing and developing performant libraries and services
Assist cross-functional teams in driving solutions from the start
Utilize computational geometry for resolving challenging problems
Build robust, horizontally scaling microservices utilizing Python
Refine existing algorithms for reducing resource use of resources and latency

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 6+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
Must possess at least 2 years of experience in working with Python
Well-versed in working with scientific and mathematical libraries like Numpy
Thorough knowledge of unit testing and concurrent programming
Expertise in RESTful API design and REST API usage
Thorough understanding of how to utilize Docker
Knowledge of working with Kubernetes or ECS with experience in Typescript/JavaScript development is highly beneficial
Familiarity with working in a test-driven environment
Knowledge of working with Helm, Customize, gRPC, and OpenCV
Excellent English communication skills
