Job description

A fast-growing company that provides metering solutions for grid utilities is looking for an experienced Python Developer. The developer is expected to work with the senior development team to define projects and deliver them on a bi-weekly/monthly basis without any substantial oversight. The developer will be focusing on the company's cloud application, from the core customer interface to the critical backend synchronizing layer and reporting system. The company's advanced grid management solutions are helping users to improve the performance and value of their electric grid. Job Responsibilities:

  • Integrate front-end elements with server-side logic and functionalities
  • Effectively collaborate with product teams and engineering professionals (especially Front-end engineers)
  • Optimize the platform for faster execution and solve scalability issuesImplement security & data protection practices
  • Work closely with other teams like hardware, customer support, and sales to ensure that required systems are designed and implemented to fulfill their part of the product

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 6+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • Thorough knowledge of the core concepts of computer science such as programming languages, logic, algorithms, data structures, base 2 numbering, complexity analysis, etc.
  • Prior experience working with major production projects on all levels of the application
  • Knowledge of modern Python and the standard library
  • Experience with web frameworks/libraries such as Flask or Django
  • Familiarity with Python 3 conventions, including async io and type-hinting is preferred
  • Experience in building multiple front-ends utilizing HTML5, ES6 (or TypeScript), and CSS3
  • A solid understanding of AJAX will be nice to have
  • Should have the necessary quantitative skills to answer tough questions about how the system is performing
  • Ability to succinctly express technical concepts to both technical and non-technical individuals alike
  • Excellent English communication skills
