Python Developer

A U.S.-based company that is utilizing its multi-omics platform to practice cutting-edge synthetic biology and informatics techniques, is looking for a Python Developer. Before implementing suggested solutions, the developer will be in charge of assessing the requirements and the design guidelines and providing a solution. The company is on a mission to resolve some of the biggest challenges facing biology today with the help of next-generation technologies. The company has managed to secure more than $62mn during their Series A round of funding. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, establish, and keep up fault-tolerant, straightforward software
• Build software to run scientific apparatus, such as software for running experiments, image processing, and data analytics
• Make thorough unit and regression tests using the frameworks that are already in place
• Closely collaborate with the engineering, scientific, and product teams to determine the software needs

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
• In-depth knowledge of scripting languages like Bash and Python
• 2-3+ years of experience developing C++, Rust, or C# programs for complex, embedded, or life sciences systems
• Prolific React, REST, gRPC, and WebSockets experience
• In-depth knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript
• Demonstrable experience developing scientific instrumentation
• Must be highly driven and capable of working alone without supervision
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and conversational
