Job description

A reputable organization that is creating cutting-edge solutions for distributed database design and development also referred to as storage systems, is looking for a Lead Software Architect. The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying important technology roadmaps and analyzing trends and critical technical insights. The company provides infrastructure application software and devices using wireline, wireless, and IP technologies. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates who are determined to build a lucrative career for themselves while working with a multinational organization. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Construct the computational storage systems' software architecture
  • Assist in the development of competitive computational storage systems and take the lead in the unification of architecture design and the growth of computational storage engines, protocols, and standards
  • Take charge of conducting competition analysis in the field of computational storage 
  • Boost the products' competitiveness in the computational storage market, spearhead technological innovation, put new ideas into practice, and oversee the development team's completion of important research on emerging technologies

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software architect or lead engineer
  • Prolific experience working with Azure Databricks, AWS Aurora, and Amazon S3
  • Familiarity with Apache Kafka and Hadoop is nice to have 
  • Competent in the storage system's I/O software architecture and knowledgeable about the I/O technology stack
  • Ability to design I/O path subsystems
  • Strong background in important GPU/ARM chip technologies, including SIMD and NVLink
  • Aptitude to oversee a group of people and finish technology development and research
  • Nice to have proven experience with computational storage
  • In-depth knowledge of software performance improvement 
  • Prior experience locating performance hotspots with accuracy using performance tools
  • Possess a keen technical understanding and remain receptive to feedback and suggestions
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
