Job description

A US-based company helping businesses to glean and compile the most value out of their data is looking for a Kubernetes Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for qualifying third-party and open-source applications operating on Kubernetes, including any enhancements/tuning to the Kubernetes cluster. The company’s advanced technology enables businesses to maximize their digital assets by simplifying infrastructure operations and relying on data to achieve results. The company has managed to raise more than $22 mn during its Series A round of funding. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work towards the company’s mission to help organizations discover the significance of private cloud computing
  • Conduct software development for Kubernetes lifecycle management and deployment, and integrate it with the private cloud software suite
  • Stay up to date with modern CRI/CSI/CNI implementations and Kubernetes best practices
  • Write software that facilitates day-N monitoring/management and day-0 deployment of Kubernetes
  • Integrate the private cloud software with Kubernetes 
  • Conduct efficient planning of development schedules aligned with project delivery dates/scope
  • Display active participation in product design reviews to offer input on product schedule, design, and functional requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a Kubernetes engineer
  • Prolific knowledge of automated systems administration of open-source services and software widely used for software development, like Linux
  • Experienced in forward-looking and modern Kubernetes (operators, service mesh, CNI/CSI/CRI, micro-Kube, kind) 
  • Prior experience working with upstream Kubernetes, as opposed to paid (e.g., OpenShift) or public cloud (e.g., GKE) solutions
  • Skilled in Kubernetes deployment into new environments
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining Kubernetes clusters and deploying micro-services/applications in a production environment
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, preferably Golang
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is a must
