Job description

A well-established company that is creating a social listening platform that provides organizations with information on consumer behavior, market trends, and online reputation, is looking for a Kubernetes Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for the automation of infrastructure provisioning and administration operations across many environments through Terraform. Due to the company's array of offerings in the areas of media, social media, consumer, and sales intelligence, prominent organizations across the globe consistently choose them as their industry partner. The company has managed to secure more than $298mn in funding so far. This role requires a significant overlap with the CET time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:


  • Create, deploy, and manage native Kubernetes clusters with a focus on dependability, scalability, and high availability
  • In Kubernetes clusters, implement and maintain Cilium for network security and observability
  • Work together with cross-functional teams to establish and put into effect best practices for performance optimization, tooling, and Kubernetes orchestration
  • Investigate and fix Kubernetes infrastructure, networking, and performance problems
  • Work along with the development team to improve Kubernetes environment application deployment and monitoring techniques
  • Utilize and oversee AWS cloud services to enable apps built using Kubernetes
  • Keep up with the latest developments in Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure technology


Job Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Demonstrated ability to manage native Kubernetes clusters in production settings
  • Excellent command of Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC)
  • Practical knowledge using Cilium for Kubernetes observability and network security
  • Thorough understanding of networking, tooling, Kubernetes orchestration, and performance optimization Work experience with AWS cloud services
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation in either Golang and/or Python
  • Kubernetes certification, such as the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), is nice
  • Nice to have prior experience with different container orchestration platforms
  • Prior experience with container runtime environments such as Docker is desirable
  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and automation technologies is  preferred
  • Outstanding troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
