Job description

A NASDAQ-listed company committed to enhancing digital advertising and developing a self-contained media buying platform for the open internet is looking for an Infrastructure Software Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for several high-level initiatives, including migrating the EBS volumes to GP3, which will save millions of dollars. The US-based tech company offers advertising services via video, audio, social media, computers, mobile phones, and television. They have managed to raise more than $75mn+ in funding so far. This is a nice opportunity for the chosen candidate to contribute to high-tech capabilities that solve real software needs.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Understand and follow standardized software engineering processes for designing, developing, documenting, reviewing, testing, analyzing, and releasing codes
  • Write high-quality codes with good test coverage utilizing use modern abstractions and frameworks whenever required
  • Utilize deep problem-solving and analytical abilities to manage complex tasks 
  • Work alongside different team members such as product managers, UI/UX designers, developers, system analysts, and marketing managers to produce the desired software solutions
  • Help research, design, develop and scale new/existing software applications
  • Identify areas requiring modification in existing systems and make improvements
  • Work on resolving integration and incompatibility issues in software applications
  • Assist in monitoring software systems and applications to ensure superior performance and low-latency

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Deep understanding of technologies like React, Node, Python, JavaScript, React Native, PHP, Vue, Java, Golang, Ruby on Rails, Angular, Django, etc
  • Expertise in computational problem-solving and thorough understanding of designing, coding, debugging, and testing procedures
  • Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals with a deep understanding of data structures and algorithms
  • Technical competency with a logical and analytical approach to problems
  • Knowledge of web/mobile application development, Unix/Linux environments, distributed/parallel systems, information retrieval, networking, or systems/security software engineering
  • Familiarity with the entire web development stack (front-end and back-end technologies, frameworks, libraries, and other web server optimization techniques) will be helpful
  • Ability to work with large systems, complex code bases, and version control systems such as Git
