Job description

A US-based company that is using AI technology to pioneer the blockchain security industry, is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for making and documenting architectural and technologies choices in order to support the company’s rapid cloud-based product iteration. The company is leading the blockchain security and smart contracts industry by utilizing AI technology to secure the cyber world from external threats like hacking. The company has managed to raise more than $70mn in funding so far. This will be a long-term role and requires at least 4+ hours overlap with the PST time zone.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work on designing, developing, and evolving infrastructure systems such as the AWS platform, task orchestration, and monitoring
  • Lead reliability engineering and DevOps related tasks
  • Develop a thorough understanding and drive the five pillars of AWS's well-architectured framework
  • Assist engineering and business teams in understanding infrastructure pain points and requirements, and prioritize short-term and long-term solutions
  • Develop and prepare documentation explaining architectural and technological decisions
  • Identify and assess budgeting and security drawbacks
  • Take charge of leading long-term infrastructure roadmaps for rapidly evolving products and businesses
  • Work as a part of an agile team and contribute with empathetic culture

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4 years of experience in infrastructure engineering  and providing the infrastructural foundation for mission-critical software
  • Well-versed with AWS platform and services
  • Prior experience in collaborating with non-infrastructure teams
  • Deep understanding of CS fundamentals
  • Must be skilled at the art of communication to explain complex concepts or scenarios properly
  • Ability to own and drive complex projects end-to-end
  • Work with a growth-based mindset and quickly learn new technologies and concepts to meet the business requirements
  • Prior experience of working in a tech start-up or scale-up will be a bonus
  • Familiarity with Cryptocurrency/Defi/Blockchain is desirable
  • Prior experience in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.) would be a plus
  • Having AWS blue team experience will be an added advantage
