Job description

A rapidly growing US-based company is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for accelerating the engineering lifecycle and reliability of the existing platform by utilizing necessary tools and driving platform improvements .The company is the world’s largest and first marketplace for non-fungible tokens (NFTs) where anyone can sign a smart contract to buy or sell digital goods like collectibles, gaming items, domain names, digital art, and many other items backed by a blockchain. The company has managed to raise $100 mn in its Series B round and is backed by investors from Coinbase Ventures, 1Confirmation, Blockchain Capital, etc. The developer will get the unique opportunity to collaborate with industry experts from Google, Stanford and Palantir.

Job Responsibilities:

Reimagine how the company builds and deploys its marketplace
Analyze and suggest solutions to counter the issues faced by the company while using data to make decisions, then improve the current product and infrastructure to enable that new approach
Build out scalable back-end infrastructure for a cloud environment
Find and pursue opportunities for higher stability, efficiency and cost effectiveness
Build out incident management programs and best practices
Drive requirements for large components of the back-end system: requirements, implementation, testing and launch

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of relevant experience as an infrastructure engineer
Experience in large-scale cloud systems design and engineering
Prior experience in designing and building highly available distributed applications
Must possess an ability to write high quality, well tested code
Must have strong network background including global routing and load balancing experience
Expert knowledge of Google Cloud Platform
Excellent communication skills to explain complex issues to an audience outside the infra domain, and championing strategies to key stakeholders
Prior experience in globally distributed data storage engines, and multiple cloud service providers is highly desirable
Nice to have a strong knowledge of log collection tools and analysis, configuration management toolsets, infrastructure performance monitoring tools and optimization practices, or CDN implementation and optimization
