Job description

A U.S.-based company that is revolutionizing the world of real estate investment by providing innovative financial solutions, is looking for a Full-Stack Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for taking care of both the back-end and front-end operations of the platform while expounding the company vision, driving user interaction and growth. This company has established itself as one of the largest real estate lenders in the world and is using cutting-edge technology to offer real estate investors a simpler, more reliable, and faster way to access financing. The company has successfully raised over $157 Million through private funding.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Possess significant ownership over the company's platform and its web applications
  • Handle and resolve production incidents experienced by users, perform debugging tasks as needed
  • Advocate for high code quality, and participate in peer reviews of designs and code, with a particular emphasis on test automation encompassing unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
  • Contribute towards technical debt reduction initiatives
  • Prioritize and execute high-impact customer-focused initiatives for value addition
  • Collaborate with design, product, and business teams to understand user needs and develop appropriate solutions 
  • Understand customer needs to ensure satisfaction


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a Full-Stack Engineer
  • Proficiency with Ruby, JavaScript, and TypeScript
  • Understanding of front-end frameworks such as- React and GraphQL would be an advantage
  • Familiarity with back-end frameworks such as Rails and Node.js would be a plus
  • Thorough knowledge of PostgreSQL and Redis databases
  • Expertise in application security is crucial 
  • Previous experience shifting from a monolithic Rails application to a distributed set of services 
  • Driven and focused on building high-quality, user-friendly products
  • Ability to quickly understand and solve problems
  • Attention to detail, self-starter, and impact-oriented
  • Willingness to learn and introduce new processes and technologies to improve team productivity
  • Ability to learn or pick up more than one programming language
  • Strong communication skills and good command of English
