Job description

A US-based company that is specializing in providing supply chain management, blockchain technology, and retail supply chain solutions, is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing the technical debt and risks on behalf of the company. Consumer brands can use the company's comprehensive supply chain planning and execution services to combine analytical forecasts with adaptive inventory and supply modeling. The company has managed to successfully raise more than $1mn in funding so far. 

  

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in integrating front-end components with server-side logic and features 
  • Optimize platforms to improve execution and resolve scalability issues
  • Work alongside front-end developers, testers, QA leads, and project managers to build robust deliverables
  • Develop high-quality, scalable, robust, and reusable codes
  • Design and develop back-ends for applications using clean coding standards and best practices
  • Work closely with the design team to run UI tests and optimize applications 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of back-end development experience
  • Prolific experience with .NET Core and C#
  • Expertise in one or more back-end programming languages like Java, Python, PHP, .NET, Ruby, Golang, etc.
  • Thorough understanding of web development best practices, techniques, and tools
  • Expertise in both relational and non-relational databases like MS SQL Server, Oracle Database, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, etc.
  • Strong grasp of database integration, data migration, transformation, and scripting
  • Must be well-versed with third-party libraries and APIs
  • Thorough understanding of React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js. etc is preferred
  • Familiarity with accessibility and security compliance will be helpful
  • Must possess a thorough understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors, like LESS and SASS
  • Familiarity with CMS frameworks, automated testing platforms, and unit tests will be helpful
