Job description

A US-based company determined to become the worldwide powerhouse in embedded payments for niche software businesses is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The engineer will work closely and assist the product and engineering teams in developing efficient products. The company is developing a platform that will allow businesses to take advantage of embedded payment opportunities for growth, innovation, and change. The company has managed to raise more than $70mn during their Series A round of funding. This will be a long-term, full-time position that requires 5+ hours overlap with the EST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

Help build a microservice-based payments platform
Own building and maintaining a set of payments related to microservices
Work closely with the team to write automation tests, understand requirements, build solutions, deliver functionality, and build continuous delivery pipelines
Integrate front-end elements with server-side logic and functionalities
Effectively collaborate with product teams and engineering professionals to meet product requirements and build innovative solutions

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
Must have experience in Typescript and Node.js
Strong knowledge of AWS, especially on Serverless architectures and services
Familiarity with PHP and Postgres is nice to have
Payment experience is a bonus
