Job description

A U.S.-based company that is developing world-class software solutions that helps people and businesses get organized and stay on top of tasks, is looking for a Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be tasked with building algorithms to forecast how to best use time by modeling user behavior. The company’s innovative platform is enabling users to simplify and streamline workflow, increase productivity, and reduce stress. During their Series C round, the company managed to secure more than $74mn in funding. This position requires a significant overlap with the PST time zone. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Create a smart time-management solution that gives people more time in their days
  • Every day, commit and push your code
  • Build back-end systems that provide intelligent, real-time functionalities
  • Make a strategic contribution to high-level choices
  • Collaborate on design and UX with others that are passionate about the product
  • Positively impact the company’s feature roadmap

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Demonstrable experience with Java, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Redis, and AWS
  • Experience modeling data (both relational and non-relational) and processing information at scale
  • Demonstrated leadership and the capacity to design systems with care
  • Collaborate with many different functions and stakeholders to deliver amazing products
  • A strong drive to master and study engineering
  • Devoted to workflows and productivity tools
  • Fluent in spoken and written English communication
