Job description

A rapidly-growing company relied upon by the world's greatest scientific organizations to expand their communities is looking for a Back-End Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for working directly with the team to develop automation tests, understand requirements, build solutions, deploy functionality, and establish continuous delivery pipelines. The company's platform provides a forum for collaborative research that pushes the limits of science. The company has managed to raise close to $24.5 mn in funding. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively to build quality software solutions and functionalities
  • Integrate front-end elements with server-side logic and functionalities
  • Effectively collaborate with product teams and engineering professionals to meet product requirements and build innovative solutions
  • Use a holistic, test-oriented approach to troubleshoot and upgrade the application

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
  • Knowledge of JavaScript and Typescript
  • Familiarity with Node.js
  • Experience with Integrations, API design, and development
  • Knowledge of asynchronous messaging patterns like Publish-subscribe
  • Knowledge of relational databases like PostgreSQL or NoSQL - MongoDB
  • Knowledge of application deployments in the cloud using the CI/CD development process
  • Proficient in writing clean code
  • Understanding of cloud platforms like GCP or AWS
  • Experience with container technology like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Ability to own development processes, being resourceful and responsible
  • Effective English communication skills
