AWS Developer

A US-based company that is leveraging the power of 5G and AI to change the world by digitizing the supply chain, is looking for an AWS Developer. The selected candidate will be joining a fast-growing team to build features and scalable architecture for web applications and services tied to Machine Learning devices. The company aims to bridge the data and networking gaps, to allow a more robust, safe, and sustainable supply chain. The company has managed to securely raise more than $800K in funding during their Pre-Seed round. This will be a full-time role requiring some overlap with the CST/PST/EST time zones.

Job Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate practical experience with AWS application development
• Advocate agile engineering methods backed by a deep understanding of software engineering best practices
• Contribute to planning, designing, and building elegant solutions while working with cross-functional teams
• Take initiative to address issues, pursue new designs, identify cost reductions, and research new parts
• Assume full responsibility for designs that have been assigned to maintain or debug
• Design from a broad mandate statement and think out of the box

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 6+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
• Solid understanding of AWS, MongoDB, Lambda, and Linux
• Experience in back-end applications using technologies like Python, JavaScript, NodeJS, etc. 
• Experience in a variety of core AWS technologies for back-end servers/process/serverless like ECS, EKS, Kubernetes, etc. 
• Experienced with databases using NoSQL, DynamoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Docker
• Experience designing/integrating RESTful APIs and HTTP/HTTPS
• Ability to create well-designed test cases 
• Familiarity with testing guidelines/best practices
• Familiarity with SQS and Aurora is nice to have
• Ability to explore/introduce innovative development techniques/technologies that expand the features provided to customers
• An understanding of machine learning technologies to support dedicated ML engineers with back-end support
• Must possess a broad technical background and a natural curiosity for producing effective solutions
• Solid understanding of applicable analytics
• Knowledge of security concerns at each layer of the back-end and data protection
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
• Strong teamwork, communication skills, passion, creativity, productivity, and learning agility
• Excellent English communication skills
