Job description
Job responsibilities
- Write scalable, maintainable, efficient, and clean code to avoid the pitfalls of excess complexity
- Design and develop rich UI for sensitive front-end applications using the latest front-end technologies
- Make sure to collaborate with cross-functional teams and peers during the entire SDLC
- Conduct unit testing and code reviews to ensure the highest coding standards are maintained
- Lead the team to adhere to release cycles and commitment to deadlines
- Take ownership of architecting efficient and reusable front-end systems to drive complex web applications
- Participate proactively in all features and design decisions, defining front-end architecture
- Ensure being involved in defining and following development best practices across a large distributed development team
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- At least 5+ years of experience in developing front-end for large scale web/mobile applications (rare exceptions for highly skilled developers)
- Strong understanding of different mobile platforms and browsers
- Extensive experience in UI architecture, component/framework design
- Hands-on knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
- Proficient with developing advanced responsive layouts
- Sound knowledge of performance optimization procedure and profiling tools
- Well-versed with back-end systems like web services and APIs from a user perspective
- Expertise in server-side CSS, principles of SEO, and HTTP fundamentals
- Fluency in English language for effective communication
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) with a 4 hour overlap with US time zones
Preferred skills
- Understanding of Node.js and React.js
- Experience in test-driven development
- Knowledge of cross-browser compatible code writing
- Familiarity with TypeScript, Flow, ECMAScript
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively to work cross-functionally
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
