Job description

A Silicon Valley-based company that has single-handedly transformed the Artificial Intelligence industry with their world-class solutions, is looking for a STEM Software Engineer. The engineer will be in charge of developing talent by mentoring younger developers and offering appropriate feedback. Job Responsibilities:


  • Develop and apply advanced computational models and techniques to solve complex problems in various computational domains
  • Create safe, excellent production code, and evaluate and troubleshoot other developer's code
  • To increase the overall operational stability of software programs and systems, find ways to remove or automate the resolution of reoccurring difficulties
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to contribute to research projects, offering computational insight and expertise
  • Engage with the latest computer science literature, including cutting-edge research papers


Job Requirements:


  • Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field, with a strong emphasis on one or more of the following areas: computable functions and mathematical logic, algorithms and data structures, machine learning and artificial intelligence, computer vision and image processing, cryptography and security, parallel and distributed computing, computational complexity theory (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 8+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • Demonstrated aptitude for resolving challenging computational issues as shown by a collection of studies, projects, or articles
  • Strong grasp of computing theory, including decision-making techniques, computable functions, and methods for estimating functions based on inputs and outputs
  • Thorough understanding of basic data structures and algorithms, such as tree structures, graph structures, and sorting algorithms, and how to use them to solve computational issues effectively
  • In-depth knowledge of machine learning algorithms and their applications in pattern recognition, natural language processing, and other AI tasks. Examples of these techniques include neural networks, decision trees, and support vector machines
  • Solid comprehension of feature extraction, image classification, and image representation methods
  • Familiarity with how to apply these methods to problems including medical image analysis, object detection, and facial recognition
  • Proficiency with security protocols, authentication techniques, and cryptographic attacks
  • Familiarity with cryptographic algorithms such as RSA, AES, and elliptic curve
  • Proven expertise in developing parallel algorithms, utilizing frameworks for distributed computing such as MapReduce and Spark, and maximizing system performance in distributed environments
  • Extensive familiarity with complexity classes, including P, NP, and NP-hard issues, as well as proficiency with methods for assessing the computational complexity of algorithms and issues
  • Demonstrate a thorough comprehension of intermediate to advanced computational principles and the capacity to use these concepts to solve challenging issues in novel ways
  • Although not required, proficiency with Python and data analysis is preferred
  • Outstanding critical and analytical thinking abilities with an acute eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain difficult computational ideas to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise
  • Collaborative attitude and background in conducting research or working on projects in multidisciplinary teams
  • Fluent in spoken and written English communication skills
