Sr. Software Engineer 1

A fast-growing technology start-up in the automotive marketing industry that is trying to increase the efficiency of the automotive retail market, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The engineer will be contributing to the development of an AI platform specifically for the automotive industry and must be comfortable working in a fast-moving, cross-functional team in a start-up environment. The company is democratizing digital marketing through artificial intelligence to create meaningful interactions and strengthen relationships between automotive retailers and buyers everywhere. The AI platform uses thousands of data points to connect dealers and buyers with personalized campaigns that accurately put the right vehicle in front of the right person, at the right time. This role requires a 5+ hours of overlap with PST.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain accepted software engineering protocols for designing, developing, testing, and other tasks
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of necessary codebases, product niches, and related systems (if necessary)
• Write clean and efficient code with good test coverage capabilities using up-to-date abstractions/frameworks
• Develop medium/large scale projects utilizing analytical & problem-solving mindset
• Guide and mentor junior software engineers & interns to produce innovative and inspiring solutions
• Work closely with technical leads or managers and contribute ideas for future projects

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3 years of experience in software engineering
• Must possess an in-depth understanding of technologies like Python, Vue, Postgres, and GitHub
• Knowledge of Django, Aurora, GCP, and distributed cloud databases will be an added advantage
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills and be fluent in English
