Sr. Software Engineer

The engineer's responsibilities will include guaranteeing CI/CD and building a more central Jenkins pipeline. Job Responsibilities:

• Assist the organization with a significant project designed to support clinical trials, including important tasks like clinical operation and site selection
• Teams would like to have a single Jenkins pipeline because they currently employ disparate Jenkins pipelines and setups
• Increase your use of "DataOps," which is essentially data engineering, to deliver, manipulate, and comprehend data after Jenkins is in maintenance mode
• Throughout the development and deployment lifecycle, apply and enforce security best practices while making sure that industry standards and laws are followed

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a DevOps Engineer
• Demonstrable experience working with Jenkins, Python, and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with SQL, Airflow, and Data Engineering is desirable
• Nice to have some understanding of DBT (Data Build Tool)
• Knowledge of dbt for ELT, SQL (Redshift, Postgres), and Airflow, or a desire to experiment with it is appreciated
• Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written

Job Responsibilities:

• As they migrate from on-premises to the cloud (AWS), work primarily alone while communicating with the QA and Data teams to apply new architectural modifications to their database structure
• Offer product support concerning system durability, dependability, and efficiency
• Set up and improve MySQL and MS SQL Server databases
• Track and enhance the performance of databases
• Oversee the database recovery and backup procedures
• Control Azure blob storage for recovering and backing up databases
• Set up and keep an eye on the SQL Server Availability Group
• Install and set up MySQL and SQL Server database replication
• Oversee security while assisting with server and database access audits
• Actively assist in resolving any database problems

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 7+ years of relevant experience as a Database Administrator
• 7+ years of expertise in administering SQL Server databases
• 3+ years of experience managing MySQL databases
• Nice to have some understanding of the Linux subsystems, RDS, and AWS
• Prolific SQL Server experience from 2014 to 2017
• Comprehensive understanding of SQL Server Availability Group
• Relevant familiarity with MySQL clustering
• Proven experience providing round-the-clock production environment support
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken
