Job description

A leading hybrid technology and logistics company is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. As a senior member of the team, the engineer will contribute to scaling the mission and play a key role in growing the company and delivering innovative products and features. The candidate will also have a strong voice in shaping the engineering culture by creating, coordinating, and assisting in all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of the technology stack. The platform offers an award-winning service used by 80,000+ people. Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and implementation of solutions to enhance our existing leading-edge microservices-based platform
  • Implement imaginative solutions integrating with other services using the latest DevOps best practices
  • Efficiently and effectively use resources to deliver results & minimize unnecessary waste
  • Build the organization and develop leaders to thrive for the very long term 
  • Be a key player in driving innovative products and features
  • Create, coordinate, and assist all activities related to the design, development, and implementation of the company’s technology stack to grow the company and serve customers
  • Plan, design, and execute end-to-end web architecture
  • Collaborate and work with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, including systems design, implementation, and operations
  • 3+ years of experience with MEAN Stack technologies
  • Excellent skills with back-end technologies such as Node.js and Typescript
  • Great skills with front-end technologies such as Angular, Typescript, MVC, and SPA
  • Must have prior experience with databases like PostgreSQL, including NoSQL transactions
  • Formidable knowledge of Mobile development technologies like Ionic and Cordova
  • Extensive knowledge of infrastructures like Docker/Kubernetes, or Terraform
  • Skilled with Heroku, Microservices, Google Cloud Functions, and Gitlab (CI/CD)
  • Nice to have prior working experience in Django / Python to support the company’s legacy systems
  • Prior experience in monitoring & 3rd Party libraries such as Strip and New is nice to have
  • Working knowledge of Relic, Papertrail, Sqreen is preferred
  • Good to have some skills in documentation such as Postman and Swagger
  • Nice to have some experience with DB tools like Sequelize and Umzug
  • Front-end skills like material designs, Jasmine, Karma is nice to have
  • Sound knowledge of Unit and e2e Tests is preferred
