Job description

A rapidly growing SaaS company leading efforts in the pest control space is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and developing new product features and work on fixing customer's issues. The engineer will also work closely with stakeholders across teams to create well-designed, testable, and efficient code. The company has built a product offering sales support, CRM, appointment scheduling, route optimization among other features. Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with other team members to design and develop new software features
  • Research, discover and implement new techniques to debug and fix issues with existing code
  • Resolve issues quickly, thoroughly, and professionally
  • Write clean, well designed, scalable, and efficient code
  • Write unit tests for new and existing code to ensure quality and stability
  • Enhance code while working through the entire stack, to implement features and address bugs
  • Join an agile development team and work closely with stakeholders to understand and design requirements and maintainable architectures for new features
  • Mentor, train, and guide junior engineers to help the entire team be successful
  • Occasionally interact with 3rd parties to understand and develop integrations, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate deliverables

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of experience with technologies such as Java/Java 8, HTML, and JavaScript
  • Understanding of object-oriented design
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Experience working with AWS and Aurora RDBMS (MySQL) is nice to have
  • Experience working with Git and Angular 2+
  • Ability to write high quality, maintainable, and scalable software with little to no supervision
  • Ability to understand challenging problems and create solutions
  • Experience handling increasing scale in a SaaS environment
  • Experience creating beautiful UI/UX design and implementation
