Job description

A well-established car leasing firm that is redefining the concept of car-as-a-service, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The developer will be tasked with building out a world-class automotive marketplace platform. The company is building a new digital car-shopping experience that is bigger and more efficient than its predecessors. The company has managed to secure funding worth more than $2bn so far. This will be an amazing opportunity for developers who enjoy working in an agile environment for a fast-paced business that is continuously growing and evolving.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the back-end engineers to build features that drive customer experience
  • Collaborate with product, design, and a great engineering team to design and build new consumer-facing features
  • Collaborate directly with the design team to introduce new ideas to the UI and create a stunning iOS experience
  • Clearly and effectively communicate requirements and updates with others of varying technical levels
  • Use performance and instrumentation knowledge to improve the client app
  • Test, deploy, and monitor changes in test and production environments
  • Collaborate with customer service teams to investigate and resolve issues
  • Contribute to the engineering culture and procedures as a whole
  • Display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 2+ years professional iOS development experience
  • Experience shipping one or more products to the App Store
  • Familiarity with good design patterns and best engineering practices within iOS
  • Ability to evaluate technical approaches to problems and provide viable alternative solutions
  • Extensive experience with Swift and Git/Github
  • Prior experience building custom UI applications and features
  • Nice to have some experience working with gRPC and GraphQL APIs
  • Experience working on e-commerce applications is desirable
