Job description

A global video streaming platform providing OTT content in multiple countries and languages, is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer - Personalization (Golang). The engineer will be responsible for building platforms and tools that deliver personalised recommendations to 500+ million users. The selected candidate will also be building storage solutions and microservices that serve recommendations at a rate of a few 100K requests per second. The company has managed to secure $226.8mn in funding so far. This role requires 4+ hours overlap with the IST time zone. This is a great opportunity for engineers to collaborate with industry experts and grow rapidly in their career.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement low latency caching and storage solutions
  • Partner with multiple project stakeholders to deliver efficient and high-quality software solutions
  • Keep updating yourself with the latest technological trends, influence and drive architecture and design discussions
  • Build solutions to finetune performance and scalability related problems of the applications
  • Develop robust, secure and scalable microservices to power the company’s personalisation engine 
  • Build stream processing pipelines to compute personalised recommendations for the users in real-time

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of relevant software development experience 
  • Proficient with Python, Java, or Golang programming
  • Experience in building distributed domain-driven microservices
  • Expert understanding of database and storage fundamentals
  • Working experience with AWS stack
  • Must possess the ability to build large scale, customer-centric software applications
  • Must be good at communication with fluency in English
