Job description

A fast-evolving company building electric vehicles and reinventing the automotive landscape is looking for a Senior Lead Full Stack Engineer. As a core member of the team, the engineer will be responsible for building API servers using Flask, performing integration with other web services, and working on tools to increase developer efficiency.. The startup is preparing for its first vehicle launch and looking for deeply experienced and passionate talent. This is a nice opportunity for those who would like to join a fast-scaling team to make an impact within the EV space. It requires 5 hours of time overlap with PST.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work on building API servers using Flask and perform integration with other web services
  • Work on tools to increase developer efficiency
  • Build and maintain highly reliable, scalable web services
  • Create automation using Python or other scripting languages
  • Understand product requirements, collaborate with team members and customers to define solutions, and estimate the scope of work required
  • Deliver solutions that can thrive in a rapidly evolving product in a timely manner

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of relevant experience building web applications
  • Proficient with Python and Flask/Django
  • Experience with custom Python pip packages
  • Experience with cloud services, such as AWS
  • Working knowledge of RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies such as React and JavaScript
  • Experience in automotive software development and release
  • Experience in building highly available production services, including deployment automation, infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, and scaling
  • Strong understanding of containers, build systems, and infrastructure automation
