Job description

A US-based nonprofit organization providing excellent healthcare, research, and medical education services, is looking for a Senior Developer. The selected candidate will be part of the Research Systems team and must possess a broad range of Full-Stack skills along with prior experience working in a scientific lab setting. To improve the lives of patients, the institution is raising the bar of medical education and research. The organization has managed to raise $170mn+ in funding so far. This role requires 4+ hours of overlap with the EST time zone. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of the products built/configured for the research community and used across the organization
  • Work closely with the scientific research community on data pipelining, script and app creation, QA/QC, and machine learning
  • Participate in all aspects of software development like design, development, testing, maintenance, and support

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • Prolific experience working in a scientific lab environment
  • Extensive experience with MATLAB, DOI's published, and scientific disciplines like Microbiology, Neuroscience, Biochemistry, etc
  • Nice to have some familiarity with R, C++, and Python
  • Ability to work well without being micromanaged
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
