Senior Back-End Engineer

A US-based company developing and providing application reliability management solutions for web-scale enterprises is looking for a Senior Back-End Engineer. The engineer will be assuming technical leadership and responsibility for specific product areas. The company blends unique ideas from observability, control systems, and AI to offer next-generation reliability as a service solution for modern cloud applications. This will be a full-time, long-term role that requires some overlap with the PST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the overall application development processes
• Work closely with front-end developers, testers, QA leads, and project managers to deliver robust applications
• Help to define and communicate technical and design requirements
• Develop high-quality, testable, effective, and reusable codes
• Build sustainable and functional web applications implementing clean coding standards
• Run UI tests to optimize applications for enhanced performance
• Configure the latest security and data protection best practices
• Help design and implement effective data storage solutions
• Contribute as a technical leader and mentor junior developers across all development stages

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5 years of experience working as a back-end developer
• Strong grasp over Golang and/or Python for designing and shipping core back-end services
• Must be well versed with GraphQL development and best practices
• Should possess experience working on GCP-based projects
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Kubernetes will be helpful
• Ability to utilize technologies like Rust and Apache is preferred
• Knowledge of Linux or Networking is desirable
• Understanding of mission-critical, fault-tolerant orchestration workflows is required
• Should be able to stream event processing systems that fuse/enrich events and metadata from multiple sources
• Familiarity with advanced ad-hoc/interactive analytics functionality on top of modern OLAP and time-series databases
• Ability to utilize real-time time-series analytics systems for modeling the service behaviors and detecting anomalies
• Should be able to multitask between building host-based components for developing back-end APIs
