Job description

A U.S.-based company that is working to develop the first consolidated, data-backed music licensing platform is looking for a Ruby on Rails Engineer. The engineer will be working on all areas of application development using a wide range of technologies. The company makes it possible for marketers, agencies, artists, and labels to exchange music fairly. The company has managed to secure more than $100mn during their Series D round of funding. This position requires 8+ hours of overlap with the PST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

Contribute to improving the system and creating a better platform for a superior user experience
Oversee and improve the applications' performance
Utilize a realistic agile approach to work toward a high-quality end-to-end delivery
Maintain scalable, reliable software design patterns by performing code reviews

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
4+ years of experience working with Ruby on Rails
Extensive experience working with AWS or Heroku
Strong working knowledge of either GraphQL or REST APIs
Nice to have some knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript
Experience working with C#/ASP.NET core is desirable
Excellent English communication skills
