Job description

A U.S.-based company that is developing a one-of-a-kind data-backed comprehensive music licensing platform is looking for a Ruby on Rails Engineer. The selected candidate will be expected to own back-end-specific services and build robust and scalable applications. The company is enabling creators to explore fluid and easy music licensing processes while initiating a fair distribution of the world's music. The company has managed to secure $100mn+ during their Series D round of funding. This position requires 8+ hours of overlap with the PST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement scalable and adaptable back-end systems
  • Collaborate with the front-end and data engineers to provide new features
  • Create testable and highly maintainable code for the company’s platform 
  • Optimize the back-end for better and faster responses 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer 
  • Extensive experience in Ruby on Rails, GraphQL, and RestAPI 
  • Prior experience in AWS or Heroku is a plus 
  • Nice to have experience with Node.js and TypeScript
  • Experience in C# and ASP.NET core is preferred
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
