Job description

A fast-growing decision-support platform offering data analytics, group purchasing, and managed services to firms, is looking for a Ruby on Rails Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for developing high quality applications and maintaining the server-side logic. The platform is trusted by over 50 elite firms and enables clients to work efficiently by rendering support to executives in making key operating decisions. It has raised up to $6.6 mn in funding so far. The role offers a full-time, long-term opportunity for the candidate to collaborate on developing innovative solutions.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain reusable Ruby on Rails code
  • Maintain data interchange between server and the users
  • Troubleshoot and fix bottlenecks and bugs
  • Design robust, secure, and scalable features
  • Integrate front-end elements with server-side logic

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience working as a Ruby on Rails engineer
  • Expert knowledge in PostgreSQL
  • Experience with frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, React, Ember.js, etc. 
  • Experience with Heroku is nice to have
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
