Job description

A rapidly-growing start-up building a robust enterprise resource planning platform is looking for a Ruby on Rails Engineer. As an experienced engineer, you will be responsible for developing an integration with the BioTrack JSON or XML APIs to push data from the backend in real-time. The platform is currently serving over a thousand facilities across 10 states in the US. The company is backed by top investors including Y Combinator and has raised up to $4 mn in funding so far. The selected candidate will have the chance to collaborate with the team from Facebook, Heroku, Genesys, etc., and contribute to delivering lasting technology solutions. The role requires a minimum of 4 hours of time overlap with PST.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop an integration with the BioTrack JSON or XML APIs to push data from the back-end in real-time
  • Build new features and fix bugs
  • Understand user requirements and translate them into stable, and high-performance product
  • Write well-documented, efficient, and reusable code
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products
  • Effectively collaborate with product teams and engineering professionals
  • Optimize the platform for faster execution and solve scalability issues

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • Must be skilled in Ruby on Rails
  • Working knowledge of JSON and XML APIs
  • Nice to have a working experience with BioTrack or other seed-to-sale systems
  • Must be adaptable and open-minded
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fluent in written and verbal English
