Job description

A fast-growing company building efficient technology to gather massive amounts of data on mobile apps and convert it into useful metrics is looking for a Ruby on Rails Developer. The developer will be helping the existing team to change the landscape of the mobile app data industry. The company's innovative solutions are benefiting a wide spectrum of clients, including app developers, investors, health care firms, and startups. During their Seed round, the company has managed to raise more than $380K in funding.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the Ruby On Rails application and API by maintaining and improving the existing codebase
  • Interface with the back-end data pipelines written in Python and munging massive data sets, exposing them to the platform
  • Help improve and develop new, exciting features within the agile and fast-paced work environment
  • Write automated tests and help maintain/improve the continuous integration and deployment process
  • Learn/add a new language/framework to your toolbelt
  • Write clean and reusable code while applying best practices to problem-solving

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • Demonstrable experience working with Ruby on Rails, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, SQL, and R
  • Knowledge of more than one programming language and the ability to know when to use what
  • Experience with Grape, Swagger, jQuery, Highcharts, React, Sidekiq, Celery, Airflow, etc.
  • Prolific knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, AWS, BigQuery, Redis, Elasticsearch, and MySQL
  • Extensive experience with Cloud66, Capistrano, Vagrant, Ansible, Packer, and Docker
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
