A US-based company that delivers specialized made-to-order flower arrangements across the country is looking for a Ruby on Rails Developer. The selected candidate will drive all aspects of the software development lifecycle, from discovery, research, execution, delivery, to analysis. Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in requirements analysis and client proposals
  • Solve diverse, complex problems on high-scale, cutting edge systems
  • Collaborate with internal/external teams to produce software design and architecture 
  • Write clean, scalable code using Ruby on Rails

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software developer
  • Extensive experience working with Ruby on Rails
  • Prior experience troubleshooting and solving problems in production environments
  • Demonstrable experience with AWS
  • Must be passionate about testing, i.e., having good unit test coverage, integration tests, etc.
  • Must know about documentation, like writing a tech spec before starting a big project
  • Should be passionate about code quality, eagerly welcoming code review, and constructive criticism
  • Working knowledge of common security vulnerabilities and how to avoid them is nice to have
  • Nice to have a working knowledge of inventory systems- ERP
  • Having worked for a company with PCI Level 1 compliance will be appreciated
