Job description

A US-based company that provides long-term nursing facilities and care to patients, is looking for a Mobile iOS Developer. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing complex software systems catering to thousands of users with production quality deployment, testing, monitoring and reliability. The company’s innovative solutions are transforming the way care delivery organizations all over the country manage and deploy safe patient handling and mobility (SPHM) programs. This role requires a time overlap of 4+ hours with the EST time zone. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a worthy cause that has a positive influence on thousands of lives.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Work in a collaborative environment with a focus on building solutions utilizing an agile approach
  • Build complex software systems capable of scaling to thousands of users with production quality deployment, testing, monitoring, and reliability
  • Maintain technological practices comply with regulatory standards such as HIPAA
  • Meeting deployment and release deadlines
  • Undertake necessary tasks for safe and downtime-proof software releases
  • Collaborate with development team for developing products and also offer guidance
  • Work on upgrading developed application architectures

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of relevant experience as an iOS developer
  • Must be an expert in Swift development for iOS and watchOS (SwiftUI, HealthKit, WatchKit, Core Bluetooth)
  • Well-versed in multiple object-oriented languages like Objective-C, Swift, C#, and an eagerness to learn more
  • Strong knowledge about the best practices of creating iOS apps
  • Past experience in developing mobile and web services
  • Knowledge of distributed storage and database systems, including SQL or NoSQL, Core Data or Couchbase Lite
  • Experience in working on small and agile teams with the ability to challenge the status quo
  • Must have knowledge of testing frameworks along with experience in coding unit tests
  • Familiarity with Agile development practices is preferred especially if someone has experience working as an Agile lead
  • Working knowledge of projects related to various wearable sensors like Gyroscope, Moisture sensor, Accelerometer/Motion sensor, Proximity sensor
  • Previous experience of working with Apple WatchKit with Core Motion
  • Knowledge of working with cloud solutions, preferably on Azure
  • Experience in working on projects related to health data standards/protocols and integration, including HL7 is preferable
  • Proven ability to build native mobile iOS apps using Apple dev tools, and also web development
  • Must have the ability to implement REST APIs in an energy-efficient manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communicate freely with all levels of engineers/staff
  • Knowledge of hardware related new technology trends is highly preferable -  IoT, Wearables (Apple Watch)
  • Experience with MQTT and Bluetooth will be an added advantage
