Job description

A rapidly-growing company that is leveraging the power of AI to provide NLP services specializing in media localization, including machine translation and ASR, is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing speech recognition systems for the company’s platform. The Silicon Valley-based company’s translation product taps into the most commonly used additional languages so that users can target potential customers across the world. Job Responsibilities:

  •  Research and develop state-of-the-art Deep Learning (DL) and Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) algorithms on various scenarios, such as speech-to-text on clean/noisy environments, multilingual speech recognition, speech enhancement for ASR, etc.
  • Research and develop world-class Speech Translation and Speech-to-Speech algorithms
  • Analyze and identify the strengths/weaknesses of the speech recognition engines and improve them iteratively
  • Develop DL model training/testing codebase and related tools
  • Collaborate with software engineers for model deployments and address customer feedback

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 2+ years of relevant experience as a Machine Learning or AI Engineer
  • Extensive programming experience in Python and C++
  • Nice to have a Ph.D. in NLP/Machine Learning or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Deep Learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.) is nice to have
  • Prior experience in Speech Processing and Speech Recognition is desirable
  • Experience in improving Machine Learning models and algorithms in real-world products is nice to have
  • Desirable to have some experience in publishing papers at leading AI conferences (ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, NeurIPS, ICML, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, etc.)
