Job description

A VC-backed startup currently operating in stealth mode to build the next-gen blockchain and web3 technology is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer. The selected candidate will work in a fast-paced environment to build, deploy, and manage core ML systems that customers trust. The company is helping businesses to scale and accelerate the adoption of open and interoperable platforms. This is an exciting opportunity for developers to test themselves and build world-class products. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to setting engineering practices, architecture, and excellence standards within the team
  • Work on blockchain architectures, data models, crypto behavioral modeling, and forensics
  • Build systems at the cutting edge of crypto and ML applications
  • Develop high-quality pre-models and tools to enable large-scale ML workflows

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 4+ years of relevant professional experience in Data Science or Machine Learning engineering 
  • Familiarity with ML methodologies to ensure the best performance of systems
  • 3+ years of expertise contributing to the architecture and design of vast ML applications
  • 1+ years of experience guiding a team of engineers on a complex project
  • Expert skills in machine learning, including developing and implementing novel algorithms for sophisticated technical modeling and optimization problems
  • Core skills in one or more ML technologies like PyTorch, TensorFlow/Keras, Spark-ML
  • Core competency in the following; optimizers and model tradeoffs, deep-learning architectures, matrix-factorization, E-M algorithms, and so on 
  • Knowledge of the ML lifecycle, including debugging and evaluation skills for models, setting hyperparameters, monitoring against drift, and running A/B tests
  • Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Python, Java, C, Rust, or GO
  • Ability to set engineering standards, as well as coding and code review guidelines, ML pipelines, and ML ops systems and processes
  • Experience working on cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS
  • Interest or experience in decentralized, peer-to-peer, or blockchain technologies is a plus
  • Fluent in verbal and written English
