Job description

A fast-growing platform that helps businesses of all sizes and types improve their search and discovery results is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer. The engineer must have a good grasp of the constraints of the current state of the art and be capable of navigating through multifaceted problems. Businesses may use the platform to create outstanding search and discovery solutions while integrating it with their existing tech stack, framework, or platform. This will be a long-term role that requires 4+ hours overlap with the EST time zone.  

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the engineering team to create innovative solutions
  • Work closely with algorithm and data sciences team to fine-tune data architecture for transformation, storage, and interfaces to support data processing and machine learning algorithms
  • Communicate with concerned teams to develop new ideas and prioritize maintenance tasks
  • Resolve complicated issues using comprehensive data sets utilizing new and existing machine learning libraries/frameworks

Job Requirements:

  • Masters or higher in Computer Science with a focus on Information Retrieval (or ML as a bonus)
  • At least 8-10+ years of relevant experience as a machine learning engineer
  • Demonstrable experience working with AI technologies 
  • Prior experience putting search into production with significant traffic either as lead or a senior contributor to the team
  • Nice to have prior experience as a tech lead to direct more junior members of the team via the technical decision making
  • Experience iterating on models over time and knows how to keep software up in production while working with constraints
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
