Job description

A fast-growing company on a mission to build an AI capable of running businesses autonomously to better serve individuals, communities, and other businesses is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer. As an engineer within the team, you will work as a brilliant leader to build a team to engineer one of the largest AI supercomputing systems in the world. The company is operating the platform with a commitment to investing in businesses by deploying autonomous AI machines and offsetting capital risks. The selected candidate will join the team and contribute to supporting and inventing new products at scale. It is a full-time position with the possibility of a long-term engagement. The role requires a time overlap with PST. 


Job Responsibilities:

  • Help the company to scale a VQ-VAE-2 up to 128 nodes with eight A100s per node for a total of 1024 A100s trained on 10 billion images
  • Understand the implementation of different library versions (e.g., PyTorch 1.10 and PyTorch nightly)
  • Implement appropriate ML algorithms
  • Running machine learning tests and experiments
  • Extend existing ML libraries and frameworks

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a machine learning engineer
  • Must-have experience in Python, Pytorch, Distributed Systems, and C/C++
  • Experienced in training neural networks with significant GPU-> GPU communication (machine learning across multiple GPUs)
  • Experience writing fully optimized CUDA kernels and how it affects the performance of distributed training
  • Solid startup experience
