Job description

A rapidly-growing company that is utilizing advanced applied deep learning technologies to reinvent the time-consuming process of checking rope for defects, is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for monitoring, optimizing, and performance-tuning the platform. Using data-driven judgments, the company is creating automated inspection technologies that enable operators to replace or repair worn-out ropes and lines before major tragedies occur. This will be a long-term, full-time position requiring 4+ hours of overlap with the PST time zone. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design of ML components and their interaction with other subsystems while working closely with product managers
  • Analyze risk models continuously, and improve current models as needed
  • Present technical information about machine learning deployment, including real-time modeling, and recommended practices
  • Work on implementing deep learning and machine learning models

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a Machine Learning Engineer
  • Demonstrable experience with Machine and Deep Learning technologies
  • Prolific experience with Computer Vision and Image Detection
  • Extensive experience working with Image Analysis and Feature extraction
  • Nice to have some knowledge of CNNs, Tensorflow, and PyTorch
  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
