Job description

An emerging US-based start-up building a primary project management software for the construction industry is looking for a Lead iOS Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for setting standards for the iPad and iPhone apps while coordinating with the Lead Backend and Frontend engineers on product releases. The company offers solutions for project managers, factory operators, modular architects, general contractors, real estate developers, and owners to collaborate and manage their projects. Candidates who are passionate about developing a high-quality, scalable enterprise software product with the ability to manage a high-growth iOS team are well suited for this role.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop a high-quality and very scalable enterprise software product
  • Set engineering standards for the company’s iPad and iPhone apps
  • Write scalable, robust, efficient, testable, and easily maintainable code 
  • Coordinate with the Lead Backend engineer and Lead Front End engineer on product releases
  • Manage and grow a high performing mobile engineering organization
  • Work closely with Head of Customer Success and Head of Product to manage mobile features in product sprints/releases, and optimize the product for high customer engagement
  • Manage, and monitor diagnostic/analytics tools like Firebase, Amplitude, New Relic, and JIRA to improve the product release process and address bugs fixes, architectural updates, and quality faith
  • Build a culture of quality from the ground up and proactively ensure the entire iOS engineering team prioritizes QA throughout the development and release process

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of strong management and iOS development experience 
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Swift
  • Expertise in best coding practices, latest standards, and architecture
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills to manage and motivate the mobile engineering team
  • Prior experience managing mobile SaaS applications with high transaction volume, game engine experience is a plus
  • Experience working in a fast-growing startup environment
  • Fluent in English communication
