Job description

A rapidly-emerging company on a quest to provide life-altering experiences through online and hybrid volunteering opportunities is looking for a Lead Full-Stack Engineer. The engineer will be tasked with designing, creating, and maintaining solutions, extensions, and integrations for the application. Businesses can use the company's curated volunteer opportunities, end-to-end product management, and impact evaluation services. This is a great opportunity for developers who are eager to showcase their talent and hone their skills.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Learn everything there is to know about the startup ecosystem
  • Create a customer-facing technology product for a global audience
  • Own the front-end and back-end development of the product, creating reusable, testable, and scalable code
  • Technical requirements must be researched, evaluated, analyzed, and implemented
  • Collaborate with product management teams to define and implement innovative product direction, visuals, and experience solutions
  • Mentor junior team members and own end-to-end deliveries

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
  • At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a software engineer
  • 1+ years of experience working on Node.js and its frameworks
  • 1+ years of experience working on any JavaScript-based front-end frameworks
  • 3+ years of experience building scalable products, and distributed applications products/services
  • Knowledge of database services and related tools and have the expertise to create efficient schemas
  • Understanding how to develop a responsive UI 
  • Experience working on CSS and any CSS-based framework
  • Excellent coding and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to produce high quality, bug-free and testable production-grade code
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
