Lead Data Engineer

A fast-growing company that is is developing a platform for mortgage technology that will retain all borrower and lender data to enable lenders to manage a portfolio of loans, is looking for a Lead Data Engineer. The engineer will be providing junior developers with guidance and mentorship while helping them to resolve issues and technical challenges. The U.S.-based company is on a mission to develop a comprehensive and powerful suite of core loan servicing products. Job Responsibilities:

• Create a data conversion pipeline in collaboration with the business teams for the clients who are switching to our system of record
• Lead the effort to transfer previous customer data from historic products to certain modern products in a smooth manner
• Design and develop data models and algorithms that support machine learning and other data-driven applications in collaboration with data scientists and business analysts
• Integrate data processing pipelines with current systems and applications by working with software engineers

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a data engineer
• Demonstrable experience and knowledge of data engineering technologies
• In-depth knowledge of ETL pipelines and the ability to map different mortgage/loan data
• Some understanding of PySpark is nice to have
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
